Everywhere you look on the internet these days, people are getting excited for the second season of HBO’s dark and politically incorrect comedy Eastbound and Down. The series stars Danny McBride as down and out major league pitcher Kenny Powers, and is produced by comedy superstar Will Ferrell. Even the celebrity world is atwitter about the return of the series, with everyone from Kanye West to Marilyn Manson expressing their appreciation for the show.

Conan O’Brien was the only host of a conventional late night talk show whose show was nominated for an Emmy this year. Jay Leno, David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel, and Craig Ferguson were all left out in favor of Bill Maher, Stephen Colbert, and Jon Stewart. There was a time when one format dominated late night, but the television landscape has changed over the years.

Creating a list of the Top 10 animal-themed horror films is a challenge because so many of the most enjoyable films in this genre are awful. However, the Rosebud list makes a good faith attempt to find movies that are actually good, and not “so-bad-they’re-good.” With all the hoopla surrounding this summer’s Piranha 3-D, the animal horror, or eco-horror, genre could be in for a rebirth.
