Get Ready to Rev Up Your Hydroponics Gardening for Maximum Yield

More reasons than ever for you to go hydroponics now for maximum yield. More reasons than ever for you to go hydroponics now for maximum yield.

Hydroponics gardening is increasing in popularity and you might be wondering if it’s for you. Or you might already be a hydroponics gardener considering whether to expand your hydroponics endeavors to get that sweet maximum yield we all know and love.

Well, here are some seriously good reasons for you to start up or rev up your hydroponics urban garden...

Ever stood in line at a supermarket checkout and wondered what would happen if there was a trucker strike, bad weather or economic difficulties that made it difficult to get food?

Hydroponics gardening can give you food security. When you look at your hydroponics grow room and see your very own food basket growing green and strong, no longer do you have to ask the supermarket produce manager if he can get this or that product for you.

And let’s face it, when you buy produce from external sources you have no idea what kind of gardening procedures have been used. The majority of agricultural producers use pesticides, herbicides, genetically modified crops, waxes, preservatives or other materials and methods that could potentially damage your health. In some cases that most of us have read about in the news, crops were contaminated with diseases that made people sick.

Another problem associated with most agricultural production is that commercial agriculture creates flowers, fruits and veggies that lack taste, aroma and quality.

Combine the depletion of vital nutrients with the possibility that externally produced crops are contaminated with diseases or harmful chemicals and you have a great reason to grow your own hydroponics urban garden crops.

Now here’s something to also consider - hydroponics gardening is getting more and more fun. A little history…hydroponics gardening has been around for thousands of years but it wasn’t until the 1900s that science really got hold of hydroponics.

But even with the advancements made in the 1900s, the status of hydroponics nutrients, equipment and other technology stalled and didn’t change much from 1970 until 2003.

In 2003, a few scientists got together with Advanced Nutrients founders and growers to do a full spectrum evaluation of hydroponics equipment and hydroponics supplies.

What they discovered has given rise to a new and exciting generation of lighting, nutrients, C02 generators, crop additives and yield boosters that never existed before.

But it isn’t just that this stuff is all-new. It’s also that it’s more energy efficient, easier to use, safer, and able to give you significantly higher yields.

For example, when hydroponics first became popular in North America in the 1970s, people grew indoors using low-output fluorescent lighting that didn’t produce enough light to fuel the plants you grow.

Growers turned to High Intensity Discharge (HID) lights that included external magnetic core and coil ballasts that were heavy, hot and unreliable. Then digital ballasts were created and manufacturers claimed big improvements in function, safety and ease of use.

The initial generations of digital ballasts didn’t live up to their hype, and in some cases the ballasts had problems nobody had foreseen.

In the past few months, a new crop of digital ballasts have emerged and some of them are truly superb instruments that give growers more flexibility, light output, cost-savings, safety and harvest yield than ever before.

Vertical hydroponics is another of the 21st century innovations that give you your maximum yield.

And guess what? This kind of revolution is taking place in almost every category of hydroponics equipment and supplies. Check out your local hydroponics store and ask what’s new.

They’ll show you fertilizers that contain amino acids and exact ratios matched for your plants, safe and easy C02 generators, mechanized crop trimmers and flower-building formulas that go way beyond old school “bloom boosters” to give you much larger, much more valuable yields.

Those are just a few of the many reasons to get into, stay in, or expand your hydroponics gardening for maximum yield. We’ll talk about more reasons in upcoming hydroponics gardening articles.
